TOY H-U-S-H: One Item Remaining

Twenty-two years ago, Nora Vossane walked out of TOY H-U-S-H without her six-year-old brother.

The flagship toy store closed after the disastrous event known as the Long Playtime. Nora's family never recovered, and the official story never explained what happened to Eli. She has spent her adult life restoring damaged memories for other people while refusing to examine her own.

Then a pristine TOY H-U-S-H catalog appears outside her apartment.

Inside is a photograph of Eli—not as the child who disappeared, but as the twenty-eight-year-old man he should have become. His unfinished birthday list contains one final item, available for pickup inside the condemned flagship.

Nora returns to the store with researcher Jonah Rellor and discovers that TOY H-U-S-H remembers her. Its lights follow her. Its impossible aisles rebuild pieces of her childhood. And Merrivault's beloved characters—Bramblebunk, Princess Lumerelle, Whisperbun, Major Brasswick, Cosmo Rindle, and the smiling Mister Wondleby—have been waiting to finish the adventure she abandoned.

Each character follows a rule. Every promise matters. And the closer Nora gets to Eli, the less certain she becomes that the store intends to let either of them leave.

TOY H-U-S-H: One Item Remaining is an atmospheric supernatural horror novel about grief, corrupted nostalgia, childhood promises, and a toy store that believes closing time is only the beginning.
